Zuzu Luxe Liquid Eyeliner

Many years ago, a makeup artist friend told me to try the Zuzu Luxe Liquid Eyeliner ($15.60). I FINALLY got around to it, and I'm super happy with the results.

Made with non-irritating and natural ingredients, this should work well on sensitive eyes. The applicator is a thin felt tip brush that's super easy to handle, allowing you to draw a very fine line. I'd say it's almost foolproof.

I tried the Black Pearl shade, which is a greyish black with a slight pearlescent finish. It dries quickly and didn't smudge nor flake. Removal is also super easy, making this my new fave eyeliner. Plus, you can't beat the price!

Available at gabrielcosmeticsinc.com and Whole Foods Market.

Dolce & Gabbana Beauty Voyage Palette

Makeup addicts can seriously travel with luxurious style with the Dolce & Gabbana Beauty Voyage makeup palette ($150). It contains every makeup essential to freshen up the eyes, cheeks and lips.

A modern update on classic shades, the makeup is encased within a limited edition Animalier leopard print compact. Four basic eyeshadows (white, beige, dove gray, and black) allows you to easily go from day to night; a peach blush and illuminator will highlight the cheeks naturally. Two lipsticks (red and nude pink) complete the palette for a sophisticated look.

Available at Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom.

Eminence Rosehip Triple C + E Firming Oil

Eminence has a new facial oil to tempt your beauty budget. The Rosehip Triple C + E Firming Oil ($110; 1 oz) is fortified with rosehip oil, sea buckthorn, jojoba, milk thistle and rosemary leaf to combat pigmentation and glycation, boost collagen and inhibit inflammation.

Designed for all skin types, the non-greasy texture absorbs easily, making makeup application smooth and effortless. I also love the sweet neroli scent—this can almost double as a light perfume oil! Eminence usually nails the scent category when it comes to formulating their products and this one's worth a try.

NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint SPF 30

I love how NARS keeps improving their tinted moisturizers. This time around, the new Velvet Matte Skin Tint SPF 30 does a fantastic job with its sheer-medium coverage. Sometimes I get wary of using makeup products with a matte finish, but this one gives a soft focus effect with no chalky or flat finish. Hurrah!

Easy to blend with your fingers, there's no need for powder unless you have extremely oily skin. I also didn't see much shine throughout the day. Alaska (light with a neutral balance of pink and yellow undertones) and Groenland (light medium with a neutral pink/peachy undertone) work best for my skin tone. I didn't see a huge difference between these two shades but if I get a light tan Groenland will obviously work better.

The pigments are pretty concentrated, so start with a smaller amount for light coverage. The oil-free formula doesn't dry skin out or highlight existing dry spots.

Available for $44 (1.7 oz) at www.narscosmetics.com, NARS boutiques, and Sephora.

NARS NARSissist Cheek Studio Palette

A Sephora exclusive, the NARS NARSissist Cheek Studio Palette ($65) features four gorgeous blush shades as well as a full-sized bronzer and a contouring duet. Blush addicts will definitely lust after this seasonal palette!

You get the following colors: Paloma Contour Blush (pink beige/deep rose), Laguna Bronzing Powder, Icy Lilac, Sausalito Sunset, Shimmering Rose Peach and Fleshy Pink. I really adore Fleshy Pink—it's so perfect on me and Icy Lilac is great as a highlighter. Shimmering Rose Peach is super pigmented so use sparingly.

The large mirror is helpful when you're traveling and the price can't be beat as you get a full-sized bronzer for nearly half the price. If there's a way to include a blush brush this would be a runaway hit.

Available at Sephora and Sephora.com.
