Armani Jacquard Fall 2011 Makeup

Fairly compact but approachable, the Jacquard fall 2011 makeup collection from Giorgio Armani has a few great items. As usual, Megan Fox is the face for their new ad campaign.

The beautifully textured Jacquard Eye Palette comes in two color schemes (green and gray). Both would work well with most skin tones and each comes with an eye shadow duo, a highlighter and a deeper shade. I tried the green one and love the results. The aqua green is great for a daytime look and the grayish forest green is excellent for layering. The dark purple shade is great for rounding out a smoky eye. The extra silky finish makes for easy blending, and I find the colors to be wearable year-round.

The Blushing Fabric has got to be my new favorite cheek product. The silicone-based liquid blush glides on SO smoothly and easily. You only need a tiny dab for both cheeks and you can't mess up the application. Don't be fooled by the small tube - it will last for a long time. The 6 Camel shade gives a healthy, light tan color for sun-starved skin.

If you don't like liquid blush formulas, or brown shades for that matter, the Sheer Blush in 10 pink beige is a great alternative. The sheer rosy wash gives a nice hint of color with just a tiny touch of shimmer. I think this is better for fairer complexions.

Beige nudes rule the limited edition Rouge d'Armani fall lipsticks, but the star shade is the classic red 406 Scarlatto. But, if red is too hot for you, the subdued, mauve-y Pink 504 from the permanent collection might tempt you.

All items are now available at www.giorgioarmanibeauty-usa.com.

I swear by the powdered blush. The "camel'' color of the liquid one is interesting. So, sort of like a bronzer without the shimmer?

It's sorta like a bronzer but the color is super natural. You really need just a tiny dab.
