Clarins Enchanted Summer 2012 Makeup

Inspired by the festive colors of India, the Clarins Enchanted Summer 2012 makeup collection is infused with violets, golds and browns.

The limited edition Enchanted Colour Quartet and Liner Palette is just so beautiful - you get four eyeshadows in bright violet, yellow bronze, golden brown and shimmery white gold. Due to its creamy texture the pearly dark brown liner can smudge a bit so it's best to use it with a powder eyeshadow to set it.

The new violet Kohl Kajal eyeliner will give an extra layer of intensity. You can use it directly on the water line or right on top of the lash line. The ultra smooth texture makes it very easy to apply. Both the Enchanted Colour Quartet and Liner Palette and Kohl Kajal are exclusive to Nordstrom.

For natural, healthy color, the Bronzing Duo SPF 15 has a very sheer mineral finish. It's pretty impossible to mess up application. I'm a light-medium skin tone but I find the 01 Light palette to be a bit too light - the effect is almost like a highlighting powder. I think the 02 Medium will give me better coverage.

For fans of the Instant Smooth Crystal Lip Balm, the new formula combines a jelly gloss exterior with a shiny lipstick core. The finish is deliciously soft, just like a lip balm. I also love the red fruit and vanilla scent. Four new colors are available for this season only: 01 Crystal Pink, 02 Crystal Violet, 03 Crystal Coral, and 04 Crystal Red. The Crystal Violet is fairly pigmented, but it's not so dark as to give you a goth look.

Available at www.clarinsusa.com and Nordstrom.

Wow, look at the point on that liner. Makes it so easy to draw a precise line.

I love kohl liners. They glide on so easily.
