Dolce & Gabbana Sweet Temptations Fall 2011 Makeup

Dolce & Gabbana's Fall 2011 makeup collection, Sweet Temptations, has several lovely goodies for beauty addicts to covet. Soft browns, neutrals and light pinks are the central theme for this collection.

My favorite product is The Eyeshadow Smooth Eye Colour Duo in Cinnamon 80. A combo of shimmering pink and light beige, this seems to be more of a springtime look, and it's certainly a refreshing direction that contrasts with all the dark blues we've been seeing lately. If you're a makeup newbie or just want a verrrry subtle, natural daytime look, this duo is made with you in mind.

For the adventurous types, the bright orange shade within The Eyeshadow Smooth Eye Colour Quad in Cocoa 115 should excite you. This is a very tricky one to use - this might be better for tanned skin. It didn't quite work for my light-medium tone, but the other three shades (shimmery plum brown, shimmery cocoa brown and matte peachy nude) are all appropriate for fall, so most skin tones should have no trouble using it.

Paired with the pretty metallic Green Almond 17 The Eyeliner Crayon Intense, you have the basis of an elegant, classy fall look. For something less bold, fill in the inner rim of your eyelid with the pale shimmery gold Candied 18 eyeliner. Both eyeliners will also work wonderfully with the Cinnamon eyeshadow duo.

There are two neutral lipsticks for this collection. The Shine Lipstick in Almond 77 is a gorgeous light nude that contrasts beautifully with the Cocoa eyeshadow quad. Alas, the Classic Cream Lipstick in Cinnamon 49 was way too pale on me, but I think if you have a darker complexion it will look perfect on ya.

Last, but certainly not least, the Ultra-Shine Lipgloss in Praline 102 is a must have for understated sexiness. You can definitely use this year-round and I'm sure it will be a staple for many gals for years to come. Wear it alone, or blend with the Berry 11 Lipliner to bump up the color. It's a very versatile gloss. J'adore!
