Laura Mercier Belle Nouveau Collection

Taking cues from the Art Nouveau period, the Laura Mercier Belle Nouveau Collection is filled with bright lip colors and pastel eye shadows.

The Camellia Lip Glacé recently won an O-ward for "Best New Makeup Product." Non-sticky and perfectly shiny, the cotton candy pink contains a sheer finish that would look great on many skin tones. The Lotus Blossom shade, a delicate mauve rose, was too light on me, but I'm sure it'd be suitable on paler lips. And don't you just love Orange Tulip? Not sure if I can carry it off but it's the color for summer.

I really, really like the limited edition Sheer Crème Eye Colour. Featuring three user-friendly pastel shades (Grey Pastel, Mauve Pastel, Aqua Pastel), the no-crease formula stays put for 8 hours. The Grey Pastel looked a tad pale on the tube but it totally brightened up the eye area. It's described as a sheer finish but I find it pretty opaque without looking heavy.

Who could resist the new Lavender Cloud Nail Lacquer? It's the prettiest lavender nail color I've seen this season.

I know what you mean about orange being the color of the season. I was just in NY and you saw that hue everywhere in the stores in every manner of clothing and accessories. A perfect shade for summer!

It's a great color for adding a pop of summer fun. I would wear it on my shoes or as a scarf.
