NARS Holiday 2011 Collection

If you're all about intense smoky eyes, then you'll embrace the NARS 2011 holiday collection with reckless abandon. The new collection has enough arsenal to make your eyes as fierce as possible.

The Arabian Nights Trio Eyshadow comes with three different shades of black: black with red pearls, black with purple pearls, and black with gunmetal shimmer. This is a veritable delight for those who have been searching for a combo of blacks, but I found the colors looking quite similar when they're applied to the skin. The texture and payoff is great but you should swatch it at the counter to make sure you want it. You can also get another base eyeshadow to bring out the subtle sparkles.

As if that's not enough, the mink hue of the Ponderosa Cream Eyeshadow gives an alternate option for those who don't want black. The deep brown with bronze shimmer can be layered for an opaque effect, but a primer or translucent powder is highly recommended before application. Without it, it tends to crease easily on my eyelids.

I adore the new G-Spot Multiple - this is one of my new holiday favorites. The universally flattering, gold-flecked rose shade is gorgeous on the cheeks. I only had to use a thin layer to make it work. It's equally lovely on the lips, giving an extremely natural, rose-kissed color. The formula is also enriched with vitamin E and açai oil for extra moisturizing properties. This sweet color is one product that's ideal for lazy multi-taskers like me.

The entire NARS 2011 holiday collection is now available at www.narscosmetics.com.

Those colors are absolutely gorgeous-- almost pretty enough to make me wish it the holidays already! (but not quite.)
