Please Help Japan

I'm sure you have been watching the heartbreaking news about the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan. My dear friend Delphine at Non Dairy Diary has kindly shared this beautiful illustration to help raise funds for disaster relief. Every dollar counts, so please consider helping the people of Japan today. You can make your donation to the American Red Cross here.

Gilt City members can help out too! They have partnered with Global Giving to give aid to organizations providing emergency services in Japan. In addition, Gilt City Tokyo will allow members to give a donation of 500 JPY which will go directly to Japan Red Cross. Gilt City will match up to 2,000 of these donations for a total donation of 1 million JPY.

Aw, that's a very sweet illustration. My heart is breaking for the devastation that has occurred in Japan. Just put together a big list of various groups that are helping in the relief effort to help them gather donations.

Every day when I pick up the paper, I just feel such sadness about what's happening in Japan. First the quake, then the tsunami, now the nuclear reactor crisis. It's way more than any one country, any one region should ever have to cope with.

I know, it's just too upsetting to watch them suffer like that. I hope Japan will recover sooner than later.
