Wild Ophelia Chocolate Bars

The latest chocolate product line by Vosges Haut-Chocolat founder Katrina Markoff, the Wild Ophelia collection highlights all-natural and organic ingredients from small American farms. Available in eight unique and fun flavors, I received the Southern Hibiscus Peach, Beef Jerky, and the Smokehouse BBQ Potato Chips bars to try.

Non-sulphured, GMO-free peaches and tart hibiscus flowers were used in the Southern Hibiscus Peach 41% milk chocolate bar. The peaches were on the mild side, so I would have loved to taste more fruit notes to contrast the hibiscus. The Smokehouse BBQ Potato Chips 70% dark chocolate bar was a warming mixture of sweet and savory, featuring zingy BBQ chips from the Billy Goat Chip Company. These chips are also free of preservatives, MSG, and gluten.

My favorite by far was the Beef Jerky 44% milk chocolate bar. Beef jerky, smoked paprika and milk chocolate meld together for the ultimate PMS snack - it actually rivals the popular Vosges Mo's Bacon Bar!

Beef jerky in a chocolate bar? OMG! I am not usually a fan of most beef jerky. But this would definitely get me to eat more of the stuff.

They're not huge chunks, just tiny slivers...and it's more about the spices than the actual jerky texture.
