Clarins Supra Volume Mascara

The Supra Volume Mascara ($27), the latest mascara from Clarins, is a solid one. It includes cassie flower wax, panthenol, and carnauba wax to condition lashes and boost volume. There's no clumping and you only need two coats to create flirty lashes. It's weightless and goes on smoothly, and is quite easy to clean off with cleanser or makeup remover.

Rouge Dior Couture Colour Lipsticks

The new Rouge Dior Couture Colour Lipsticks ($35) offer something for every lippie addict. Whether you want something bold or neutral, you get to pick from 50 gorgeous shades (35 satin, 15 matte). Each one is formulated with hyaluronic acid and mango butter to plump and hydrate the lips.

I tried shades 060 Premiere, 414 Saint Germain, and 555 Dolce Vita. Premiere is a pretty mauve pink while Saint Germain is a delicate pink nude. My favorite is Dolce Vita, a warm nude with hints of red and brown—it's absolutely perfect for fall and flattering on many skin tones.

True Botanicals Hydrating Cleanser and Nutrient Mist

True Botanicals (formerly True Nature Botanicals) recently revamped their brand identity as well as creating many new skincare products. As for the existing formulas, each one has a new name but they're all just as awesome as before.

I tried the new Hydrating Cleanser, CALM ($16-$48) and Nutrient Mist, CALM ($16-$48). Both are available in 1 oz travel sizes and are tailored for sensitive skin. The cleanser does a great job of removing makeup and sunscreen without irritating my skin, which has been regularly prone to redness during hot weather. Aloe vera, green tea seed oil, helichrysum and German chamomile come together to banish dry, flaky and reactive skin.

The Nutrient Mist smells so lovely, instantly soothing my fussy complexion. Blue chamomile, algae oil and avena oat extract contain powerful anti-inflammatory properties to repair and calm compromised skin. I definitely need to keep a bottle of this around at all times!

Another product I love is the new Polishing Grains ($44). Made with adzuki bean, rosehip seed, oat flour, kaolin clay and rice powder, this is one of the most natural exfoliating products you can find. You can customize your cleansing routine by using 1 shake for a gentle exfoliation, or 2-3 for a more intense cleanse. You can also use this with any cleanser.

Clarins Boosters

Clarins is now offering a trio of Boosters ($39) to manage various skin issues. Designed to be used with any moisturizer, serum, foundation or mask, the three formulas can be used anytime to address specific needs. You can use it once a week, once a month, or whenever you need to recharge your skin.

The Repair Booster contains mimosa tenuifolia to banish redness and dry skin. If you've been over-exposing your skin to extreme temperatures or saltwater, this is the one to use. Made with green coffee extract, the Detox Booster is ideal for combating pollution and heavy diets. I like using the Energy Booster whenever I'm not getting enough sleep or when I'm facing jet lag. It has ginseng extract to revive dull and fatigued skin.

As these are concentrated formulas, you have to mix them (3-5 drops) into your preferred cream before application. My skin seems to be extra supple whenever I use these boosters and the tiny bottles are perfect for tucking into a purse or carry-on luggage.

Vapour Stratus Soft Focus Instant Skin Perfector & Aura Multi Use Blush

I'm really impressed with the Vapour Stratus Soft Focus Instant Skin Perfector ($56). If you don't like to use foundation but still want to look polished, you need to try this product. You can use it by itself or with foundation and it'll even out blotchiness, giving you a fresh and glowy complexion.

I tried shade s904, which is great for light-medium skin with neutral or olive undertones. Made with 70% organic ingredients, it contains botanicals like elderberry, frankincense, myrrh, cape chamomile and pumpkin seed oil to condition and moisturize the skin.

Pair it with the Aura Multi Use Blush ($36) in Starlet 204 and you'll nail the dewy look. The warm pink has gold and silver micro shimmer which adds a pretty flush of radiance that looks extremely natural.

Clarins 4-Colour Eyeshadow Palettes

This fall, Clarins keeps it simple by placing their focus on the eyes. The French beauty brand is offering three gorgeous sets of the 4-Colour Eyeshadow Palette ($43). Each one features four mineral-based shades that deliver a blend of satin and matte textures.

4-Colour Eyeshadow Palette in 02 Rosewood.

Available in 01 Nude, 02 Rosewood, and 03 Brown, the eyeshadows are long-lasting and buildable. The Nude palette is perfect for daytime while the Brown makes a smoky eye easy to achieve. I like using a wet brush to get a more intense look, especially with the Nude palette. My favorite is the Rosewood.

April in Paris Amelie Collection

I've been admiring Beatrice Amblard's work for many years and I used to peruse her luxurious leather goods whenever I was in the neighborhood. Her daughter, Amelie, is now continuing the legacy of her mother's artisan profession by introducing her own leather designs.

Naomi Tote

The Amelie Collection consists of five basic designs, which include a backpack, tote, shoulder bags and a clutch. Hand-stitched and designed in their San Francisco atelier, each bag takes 20-35 hours to complete. The fun colorblock trio of orange, red and taupe will go so well with neutrals. The bright red is so gorgeous against the taupe!

Sienna shoulder bag

I love the Naomi Tote ($2,800). It's the perfect size if you're carrying a laptop and the tab closure keeps everything in place. If you're looking for a stylish bag for work, this one's it. The Sienna shoulder bag ($2,200) has a detachable strap and the simple geometric design keeps things fresh and modern.

For just a few more days, you can get 20% off any item from the Amelie Collection. Use the code Amelie2016 through August 1.

NARS Powerfall Fall 2016 Makeup

It's hard to think about fall beauty when it's so hot outside, but NARS just presented their Powerfall 2016 fall makeup collection. And as usual, it's a good one.

Fans of the Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow ($29) will love the new shades. Antares, an iridescent white gold, is gorgeous on its own but I love to pair it with Arcturus, a shimmering indigo. Color payoff is great—both are so pigmented I didn't even use a wet brush.

The new Velvet Eyeliner ($24) is another highlight. Nine flattering shades are available and I'm in love with the smooth and creamy formula. It almost feels like a gel liner so it won't drag on the delicate eyelid. The London (stormy grey) and Kaliste (teal green) are my favorites—such pretty options for a modern look.

Bold matte lips are back and the Velvet Matte Lip Pencil ($26) in Infatuated Red will make a huge statement for fall. The limited-edition garnet shade is lightweight, non-drying, and won't rub off for many hours.

The Powerfall collection is available at all NARS boutiques, counters and www.narscosmetics.com

TATCHA Luminous Overnight Memory Serum Concentrate & Deep Hydration Firming Eye Serum

TATCHA is a fab skincare line and I've enjoyed many of their products in the past. Recently I've been using the Luminous Overnight Memory Serum Concentrate ($110) and the Luminous Deep Hydration Firming Eye Serum ($95), both of which are excellent to fend off fine lines and wrinkles.

Designed as a concentrated version of the popular Luminous Dewy Skin Mist, the Overnight Memory Serum Concentrate contains 7 botanical extracts to restore a youthful appearance. Once the gel warms up on your skin it absorbs instantly. A tiny spoonful is enough for me and I wake up to firm, glowing skin. My face looks so moisturized I could skip day cream if I really wanted to. This one's an absolute must if you travel a lot—it's the perfect antidote to dry airplane skin!

The Deep Hydration Firming Eye Serum is weightless in texture. Made with Okinawan red algae, honeysuckle leaf and caffeine, your eyes will firm and plump up in no time. 23-karat gold dust is included to brighten up the eye area, making this a luxurious treatment. It's also great under makeup, making it ideal for hot weather.

Try the travel sizes ($30-33) first before committing to the regular versions—they should last a few weeks.
