Dilettante by Hiram Green

Bright, fruity, and floral, Hiram Green's newest eau de parfum, Dilettante, celebrates different facets of the orange family. I'm always fascinated with what natural perfumers come up with and I love being able to experience their creations. In this case, I happen to love orange so it didn't take much for me to fall in love with this perfume.

Featuring a deceptively simple blend of orange blossom, petitgrain and orange essential oil, the natural fragrance captures the essence of summer. It feels light and breezy, yet contains a green spiciness that's not usually found in a typical citrus-based perfume. It's a sweet and sexy composition and I would happily spray this all summer long.

Summer Lip Colors by Clarins

Wow. Clarins has a huge focus on lips this summer and they're offering lots of new goodies to make them stand out.

Available in 10 wearable shades, the Joli Rouge Brilliant Moisturizing Perfect Shine Sheer Lipstick ($28) contains a Shine Booster+ Complex to deliver pearlescent shine for up to 6 hours. Mango oil and organic marsh samphire are added to boost plumping and moisturizing properties. Most of the sheer colors I've tried are gorgeous but I especially love the stunning 13 Cherry (warm red), 30 Soft Berry (nude pink) and 7 Raspberry (medium pink). I also recommend 27 Hot Fuchsia if you prefer a bold lip.

An ideal product to use for warm weather, the new Daily Energizer Lovely Lip Balm ($20) reacts with your pH level to bring out a unique rosy pout. Cocoa, shea butter and red currant provide 8 hours of hydration. I love the cute cardboard packaging, which is sourced from sustainably-farmed forests.

The ever-popular Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector ($25) has three limited-edition shades: 10 Pink Shimmer, 11 Orange Shimmer, and 12 Red Shimmer. The vanilla candy scent makes it super fun to reapply again and again. I use the lip gloss alone but you can add it on top of lipstick for extra shine.

Rituel de Fille Makeup

I first heard about Rituel de Fille via Goop. If Gwyneth Paltrow approves of the LA-based natural makeup line, then it's gotta be pretty good, right? Handmade in small batches, the brand was created by three sisters who are beauty and fashion industry veterans. Each product is 99% natural and is cruelty-free.

I got a chance to try a few items and I'm quite impressed with the pigmentation. The Inner Glow Cream Blush ($24) is a favorite. The Rapture shade is a pale pink that has a gorgeously dewy finish. It's the perfect color to brighten the face and it's hard to overapply with this shade. You can also use this for eyes and lips. 

The Ash and Ember Eye Soot ($27) is a concentrated cream-to-powder eyeshadow. Packaged in a tiny pot, you can use it with fingers or with a small eyeshadow or eyeliner brush. The long-wearing formula makes it easy to create a smoky eye within minutes. I tried Seven Sisters, a cool dark grey with a shimmering finish. Depending on the lighting, you can see glints of indigo blue or deep violet. 

The Enchanted Lip Sheer ($21) is extremely moisturizing. It feels like a hybrid of lip balm, gloss and lipstick. Datura, a warm rose pink, is very flattering and should work on most skin tones.

Eminence Vitaskin Targeted Treatments

Eminence recently launched a trio of VitaSkin Targeted Treatments to tackle acne, sagging skin, and hyperpigmentation. These concentrated formulas are to be used sparingly, so a tiny droplet is enough for most situations.

The Bright Skin Targeted Treatment is quite effective at lessening the sun damage I've accumulated so far. Licorice root, punarnava root, turmeric and Swiss alpine plants are the key ingredients behind the brightening cream. I also like to use it on my hands as a spot treatment. It takes about a few weeks to see results. 

Made with their Natural Retinol Alternative, the Firm Skin Targeted Treatment smoothes away fine lines and restores elasticity. Acai berry, botanical hyaluronic acid and snow algae are also added to firm and tighten skin. I love how portable these slim tubes are—it can be a lifesaver when you're traveling.

Available by monthly subscription, Kali Boxes ($19.95) aim to makes your period a more manageable experience. Arranged in pretty packaging, each box contains certified organic tampons, organic cotton wipettes, and a pampering bath and body treat. Previous boxes have included a sugar scrub or lavender bath salts. 

I tried the Half & Half box, which contains a total of 14 regular and super tampons, 10 individually-wrapped wipettes, and a 2 oz. bottle of rosewater toner. The Beautiful Mind Series Perfume Volume 2

A follow up to Volume 1: Intelligence & Fantasy, The Beautiful Mind Series continues with Volume 2: Precision & Grace. This time around, creator Geza Schoen collaborated with renowned ballerina Polina Semionova to create this light and poetic fragrance.

While Volume 1 was somewhat unisex in the overall composition, the second one is way more feminine. It opens with a strong bouquet of Egyptian jasmine, mimosa, osmanthus, rose, violet, bergamot and freesia. It soon tapers down to a bright melange of Williams pear, mandarin, lemon and plum. The addition of sandalwood, pink pepper, myrrh, amber, moss and musk substantially ground the perfume, giving it a woody and spicy finish.

Dolce & Gabbana Rosa Look Makeup

As part of the Dolce & Gabbana spring makeup collection, Rosa Look 2016 features 8 new shades of the Dolce Matte Lipstick ($37). The non-drying, velvety formula has excellent opacity and color payoff, and each one has the signature powdery rose fragrance.

The Dolce Rosa 222 is a warm rose pink while Dolce Mamma 229 is a muted raspberry. Both shades are super flattering and I can totally see myself in these colors all season.

For a delicate wash of color on the eyes, the Smooth Eye Colour Quad ($62) in Miss Dolce 143 contains subdued shades of mauve pink, nude pink, matte black and pearlescent white. The mauve pink can double as blush powder, which makes this quad even more appealing.

Clarins True Radiance Foundation

Clarins makes some of the best foundations and the new True Radiance SPF 15 ($42, 1 oz) proves to be a great one to try. The liquid formula contains moringa seed extract to combat a dull complexion while tara gum and organic marsh samphire are added to boost hydration. 

Both shades 105 Nude and 107 Beige worked well on me. 105 seemed to match my current skintone more accurately while 107 was ever so slightly darker, which will be perfect for the summer season. The texture is extremely lightweight, which is amazing since it delivers a glowing medium-full coverage.

Giorgio Armani Si Rose Signature

The latest addition to the Giorgio Armani Si fragrance line, Si Rose Signature ($92-$120) is a new interpretation of the award-winning perfume. Designed for rose lovers, the eau de parfum is infused with two kinds of rose absolute. Notes include rose de Mai, Turkish rose, blackcurrant, vanilla, mandarin, bergamot, freesia, iris, osmanthus, ambrette and patchouli. Sillage is quite strong so you don't need much to make a feminine and romantic impression.

If you love purples, the new shades from the Gucci Beauty spring makeup line are calling your name. The Magnetic Color Shadow Duo ($49) in 025 Primrose is pure understated elegance. The eyeshadow's satin texture is so plush and velvety it almost feels like a gel powder. 

The Luxurious Moisture-Rich Lipstick ($39) in 445 Lilac is stunning. The emollient formula glides on comfortably and the pigmentation is so high you only need two swipes to get full coverage.
