Aftelier Chef's Essences: Fresh Ginger

When I tried the Asian Lemon Aftelier Chef's Essences earlier this summer, I knew I had to try Mandy Aftel's Fresh Ginger oil. For the last few weeks I have used it on vegetable dishes, Asian stir-fry, and seafood. It's the perfect ingredient to add warmth and a bit of zing, especially if you forget to buy ginger during your weekly grocery run.

Using two drops was the perfect amount to achieve a gingery kick. If you like it mild, definitely stick to one drop. I also used it for roasting butternut squash (plus a tiny bit of honey) and it's divine. Who knew one itty-bitty bottle could hold so many servings? Each one has 150 drops!

You can also use it in baking, ice cream or hot tea. This oil is simply amazing. Be sure to add it as a finishing ingredient, otherwise the oven/stove's high temperature will dissipate it prematurely. I have a feeling I'll be using this a lot for the holidays!

Available for $18.95 at Williams-Sonoma.

For editorial consideration, a review sample was provided by the brand's PR representative.

Wow! It’s really amazing. No doubt, the ginger is the most common part of Asian foods which is using in every type of meal.
Thanks for share. I like it.

Thanks for sharing the ginger essences as it is part and parcel of almost every dish for taste and smell in Asian countries especially in India and Bangladesh.
