Hunter Huntress Gloss Rain Boots

Now that I'm in the lovely Pacific Northwest, I really needed a good pair of rain boots to protect me from the cold, rainy weather. I sometimes have trouble fitting into boots with thinner shafts, so I was relieved to discover that Hunter carries a Huntress style for ladies with "athletic" calves.

They feel and look durable, are super comfy, and can easily accommodate skinny jeans, denim leggings and thick sweater tights. I chose the glossy finish since it's easier to maintain; it won't have the blooming effect like their regular rubber boots. Color options are limited, but I do love Merlot, a burgundy red. It's also available in black and bright red. Be sure to order a size down from your regular one as they run quite big.

Good to know that they run large. We don't get quite the deluge of rain that you do, but these would come in handy for the storms we do suffer through.

Definitely get a smaller size. I first tried on my usual size and my feet were swimming in them!
