Three Wishes Wine
 December 20, 2010
December 20, 2010 Three Wishes, a new wine from Whole Foods Market, is about to make my holiday entertaining a lot easier on the wallet. The brand features three varietals (Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon) from grapes grown in California and the price can't be beat. Each bottle is only $1.99. You can stock up on a whole case (or two) and still not break the budget.

For the eco-conscious oenophiles the wine is bottled in Eco-Glass™, a lightweight wine bottle. They are made with 25% less glass than standard wine bottles and require much less fuel to transport. This results in less carbon emissions and a reduced environmental impact.
Here are the tasting notes for Three Wishes:
Chardonnay: Fresh apple and pear flavors with a touch of oak. Terrific paired with chicken, pork, ham, grilled vegetables and mushroom risotto.
Merlot: Smooth, with notes of blueberries and vanilla. Pairs with everyday meals like pasta, pizza and hamburgers.
Cabernet Sauvignon: Dry, with flavors of dark berries and cocoa. The moderate tannins make this a great match for aged cheddar and blue cheese.
Available at all Whole Foods Market stores.
For editorial consideration, review samples were provided for this post.

Oooh, I'm digging the cocoa notes in the Cab. Bet it would be great with a deep, dark chocolate mousse. ;)
I'm sure it would. Plus, you can't beat the $1.99 price.
